Sung to the tune of KGV's School Song, "Honestas Ante Honores"

Another spin-off of a song in the name of science, by Adrian Liu

Here are we gathered from all fields of science,
Techniques to learn that our students may use,
Errors removed by repeat observations,
Honour demands we this motto observe:

Repeat and average the results!
Taking out random error,
Plot some graphs of the numbers
To take out systematic errors.
Estimate uncertainty,
Use the biggest value,
Loud let resound the big rule:
Repeat and average the results!

Lines of best fit don't need to go through all points,
Good graphs depend on such disciplined rule,
Good graphs don't have to pass through the origin,
Good graphs have straight or smooth lines of best fit:

Repeat and average the results!
Taking out random error,
Plot some graphs of the numbers
To take out systematic errors.
Estimate uncertainty,
Use the biggest value,
Loud let resound the big rule:
Repeat and average the results!
